Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN), witnessed Wheeler's softball squad tip Morgan Township by a count of 13-11.

The Bearcats now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Hammond Bishop Noll for a Greater South Shore match on Monday, April 10. Wheeler will face a Warriors squad coming off a 13-3 league win over River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Morgan Township moves to 2-1 on the season. The Cherokees host Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 11.
