The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Knox Redskins (Knox, IN), saw Wheeler's softball squad nip Knox by a count of 3-2.

The Bearcats now sport a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Kouts for a non-league match on Monday, May 8. Wheeler will face a Mustangs & Fillies squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Mustangs & Fillies record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Knox falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Redskins host Caston (Fulton, IN) to face the Comets in a Hoosier North match on Saturday, May 6. The Comets enter the match with a record of 11-4. Caston won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Logansport (Logansport, IN)
