New York High School Softball - Columbia nudges Shaker
April 8, 2024: East Greenbush, NY 12061 Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shaker Bison (Latham, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Colonie Central for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Columbia will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Troy (Troy, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Shaker falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY) to battle the Flying Dutchmen in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Flying Dutchmen enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Guilderland won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Bethlehem Central (Delmar, NY)
