Illinois High School Softball - Centralia bounces Waltonville
April 8, 2025: Centralia, IL 62801 The Centralia Orphans softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Waltonville Spartans to 0 in the Orphans non-league win on Tuesday.
The Orphans now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salem for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9. Centralia will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 12-0 league win over Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Waltonville moves to 3-4 on the season. The Spartans host Sparta (Sparta, IL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 4-6. Sparta lost 8-6 in their recent league battle against Wesclin (Trenton, IL)
