Illinois High School Softball - Centralia gets by Marion
May 22, 2025: Centralia, IL 62801 In Thursday's league match, the host Centralia Orphans softball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Marion Wildcats.
The Orphans (20-3) will now prepare for their match against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Greenwave go into the non-league match with a 12-16 record. In their last match, Mattoon was nipped by Salem (Salem, IL), 9-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 23. Marion will attempt to better on its 22-7 season record. The Maroons go into the match with a 15-14 record after their 20-6 non-league win over Highland (Highland, IL).
