Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ), 3-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Perry improves its record to 13-8 on the year. The Pumas travel to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ) to face the Sabercats in a non-league game on Friday, April 10. The Sabercats enter the game with a record of 6-14. Saguaro lost 9-0 in their recent league game against Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ)

The Toros now hold a 14-8 record. They play next when they host Red Mountain for a 6A East Valley game on Thursday, April 9. Mountain View will face a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 20-0 league win over Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 17-4.
