Louisiana High School Baseball - Sam Houston gets by New Iberia
April 9, 2024: New Iberia, LA 70560 Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), 6-4 in a league test.
With the win, Sam Houston upgrades its record to 24-4 on the season. The Broncos travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to battle the Golden Tors in a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, April 11. The Golden Tors come into the test with a record of 20-8. Sulphur lost 10-7 in their recent league test against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)
With the defeat, New Iberia falls to 15-14 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to battle the Braves in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 10. The Braves come into the test with a record of 13-17. Bourgeois lost 11-10 in their recent league test against Terrebonne (Houma, LA)
