New York High School Lacrosse - Kellenberg Memorial drops to Iona Prep
April 9, 2024: Uniondale, NY 11553 Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the host Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds (Uniondale, NY), 12-7 in a non-league test.
The Gaels now have a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Stepinac for a Catholic - Island test on Thursday, April 11. Iona Prep will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 14-7 non-league loss to Warwick (Warwick, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 2-3.
In their next game, the Firebirds face the Seaford Vikings (Seaford, NY) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 12. Kellenberg Memorial will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 18-6 league win over Locust Valley (Locust Valley, NY).
