Virginia High School Softball - King William bounces Mathews
April 9, 2024: King William, VA 23086 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the King William Cavaliers (King William, VA) and the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), witnessed King William's softball squad prevail over Mathews by a count of 17-0.
The Cavaliers now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to West Point for a Tidewater match on Thursday, April 11. King William will face a Pointers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Pointers record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Mathews moves to 0-5 on the season. The Blue devils host Essex (Tappahannock, VA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, April 12. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 5-2. Essex won 17-2 in their recent league match against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA)
