In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) baseball squad the host Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL), by a tally of 6-1.

Next up, the Knights encounter the Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 10. Vanguard will attempt to upgrade on its 18-4 season record. The Hurricanes enter the bout with a 10-14 record after their 31-1 non-league win over Crescent City (Crescent City, FL).

The Pirates (1-22) will now prepare for their bout against Belleview (Belleview, FL). The Rattlers enter the 5A District 5 bout with a 11-11 record. In their last bout, Belleview was overwhelmed by Lake Weir (Ocala, FL), 4-3, in a non-league bout.
