In Thursday's league game, the visiting Granite Hills Eagles baseball team scored a close 8-1 win over the Helix Highlanders.

The Eagles (10-0) will now prepare for their game against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Vaqueros go into the Grossmont Hills game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, El Capitan nudged Valhalla (El Cajon, CA), 7-4, in a league game.

Next, the Highlanders play the Eastlake Titans (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 14. Helix will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Titans go into the game with a 8-6 record after their 10-5 non-league win over West Hills (Santee, CA).
