The Reed-Custer Comets softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Clifton Central Comets to 2 in the Comets non-league win on Thursday.

The Comets now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dwight for a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. Reed-Custer will confront a Trojans team coming off a 14-8 league loss to Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Clifton Central moves to 8-6 on the season. The Comets host Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL) to confront the Chargers in a River Valley battle on Monday, April 14.
