The Hooks Hornets triumphed over the visiting New Boston Lions softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Redwater Dragons (Redwater, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, April 14. Hooks will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 11-13 record after their 8-4 league win over Queen City (Queen City, TX).

The Lions (9-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX). The Leopards enter the 3A Region II District 14 challenge with a 8-18 record. In their last challenge, Liberty-Eylau was routed by Atlanta (Atlanta, TX), 6-2, in a league challenge.
