North Carolina High School Softball - Avery County loses to Mountain Heritage
April 12, 2022: Newland, NC 28657 The Mountain Heritage Cougars softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Avery County Vikings to 1 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Mountain Heritage improves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to clash with the Warhorses in a Western Highlands 1A/2A game on Tuesday, April 26. The Warhorses come into the game with a record of 8-4.
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A game, on Friday, April 15. Avery County will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 11-4 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC).
