Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Valparaiso for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Lowell will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 16-2 league win over Merrillville (Merrillville, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Munster falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Columbia City (Columbia City, IN) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Columbia City won 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Garrett (Garrett, IN)
