West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS), 5-3 in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 13. West Marion will attempt to better on its 19-7 season record. The Hornets enter the contest with a 12-12 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS).

The Fighting Irish now sport a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Resurrection Catholic for a 1A Region 8 contest on Saturday, April 13. St. Patrick will play a Eagles squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 16-4.
