St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Perry Central Bulldogs (New Augusta, MS), 1-0 in a league test.

With the win, St. Patrick upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Fighting Irish host George County (Lucedale, MS) to battle the Rebels in a non-league test on Saturday, March 16. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 8-1. George County won 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN)

With the defeat, Perry Central falls to 8-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS) to battle the Rock-a-Chaws in a 3A Region 8 test on Tuesday, March 19. The Rock-a-Chaws come into the test with a record of 7-4. St. Stanislaus lost 9-3 in their recent non-league test against Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS)
