The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) and the visiting Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN), saw New Castle's baseball team gain a win over Lawrence Central by a tally of 13-9.

The Trojans (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Jay County (Portland, IN). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Jay County was overwhelmed by Coldwater (Coldwater, OH), 15-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bears face the Lawrence North Wildcats (Indianapolis, IN) in a Metropolitan battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Lawrence Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Bloomington North (Bloomington, IN).
