Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN), 8-5 in a league test.

With the win, Griffith upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Norwell (Ossian, IN) to battle the Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, April 15. The Knights come into the test with a record of 6-1. Norwell lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Heritage (Monroeville, IN)

With the defeat, Wheeler falls to 2-6 on the season. The Bearcats host Portage (Portage, IN) to battle the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, April 14.
