The Shiprock Chieftains softball team (Shiprock, NM), was routed 17-2 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM)

Coming up next, the Ravens clash with the Albuquerque Bulldogs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 5 test, on Saturday, April 20. Rio Grande will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 15-5 record after their 17-2 league win over Capital (Santa Fe, NM).

The Chieftains (5-11) will now prepare for their test against Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Bengals come into the 4A District 1 test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Gallup overcame Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM), 12-0, in a league test.
