Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), 18-16 in a non-league challenge.

The Ravens now own a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they host Shiprock for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Rio Grande will battle a Chieftains squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Chieftains record now stands at 5-9.
