South Carolina High School Baseball - Sumter loses to Cheraw
April 14, 2025: Cheraw, SC 29520 Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), 10-0 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Cheraw advances its record to 15-3 on the season. The Braves host McBee (McBee, SC) to battle the Panthers in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 15. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 11-2. McBee won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Sumter (Sumter, SC)
The Gamecocks now have a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westwood for a match on Tuesday, April 22. Sumter will battle a Redhawks squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Redhawks record now stands at 9-9.
