South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Benton Central Bison (Oxford, IN), 12-8 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South Newton upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Rebels travel to Frankfort (Frankfort, IN) to play the Hot Dogs in a non-league game on Saturday, April 19. The Hot Dogs enter the game with a record of 0-4. Frankfort lost 21-0 in their recent league game against Lebanon (Lebanon, IN)

The Bison now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host West Lafayette for a Hoosier game on Tuesday, April 15. Benton Central will play a Red Devils squad coming off a 9-5 league loss to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-3.
