Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Covington Lions (Covington, LA), 2-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Northshore improves its record to 18-14 on the year. The Panthers host Sumner (Kentwood, LA) to play the Cowboys in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 15. The Cowboys enter the game with a record of 26-4. Sumner won 18-1 in their recent non-league game against Franklinton (Franklinton, LA)

The Lions now hold a 16-7 record. They play next when they host De La Salle for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 15. Covington will play a Cavalier squad coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA). The Cavalier record now stands at 11-12.
