Louisiana High School Softball - Springfield can't get by Covington
March 28, 2025: Covington, LA 70433 The Covington Lions edged the visiting Springfield Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Green Wave enter the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 11-2 league win over Mandeville (Mandeville, LA).
The Bulldogs (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Doyle (Livingston, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Doyle edged Holden (Holden, LA), 13-3, in a non-league challenge.
