The Covington Lions overwhelmed the visiting St. Scholastica Doves softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Monday, April 14. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record.

The Doves (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (Springfield, LA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 6-14 record. In their last challenge, Springfield was routed by Pearl River (Pearl River, LA), 10-9, in a non-league challenge.
