The Elgin Comets softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Ridgemont Golden Gophers to 6 in the Comets league win on Monday.

The Comets now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cory-Rawson for a Northwest Central battle on Wednesday, April 16. Elgin will encounter a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 4-2 league loss to North Baltimore (North Baltimore, OH). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Ridgemont moves to 2-5 on the season. The Golden gophers host Perry (Lima, OH) to encounter the Commodores in a Northwest Central battle on Thursday, April 17. The Commodores come into the battle with a record of 0-6. Perry lost 23-4 in their recent league battle against Hardin Northern (Dola, OH)
