The Valley Vikings softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Highland Hornets to 0 in the Vikings non-league win on Monday.

The Vikings now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bernalillo for a 4A District 6 battle on Tuesday, April 15. Valley will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 3-2 league win over Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Spartans record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Highland moves to 2-17 on the season. The Hornets travel to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to encounter the Sartans in a 4A District 5 battle on Tuesday, April 15.
