In Tuesday's league bout, the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), by a tally of 14-1.

Next up, the Pirates encounter the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 26 bout, on Friday, April 17. Poth will attempt to upgrade on its 19-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 5-13 record after their 10-0 league loss to Karnes City (Karnes City, TX).
