The Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), 11-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Nixon-Smiley for a 3A Region IV District 26 challenge on Monday, March 30. Poth will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 7-6 league win over Karnes City (Karnes City, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-8.

The Eagles (4-16) will now prepare for their bout against Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region IV District 26 bout with a 14-6 record. In their last bout, Goliad achieved victory over Lyford (Lyford, TX), 6-3, in a non-league bout.
