The Bishop O'Connell Knights softball squad (Arlington, VA), was routed 10-3 in Wednesday's league contest with the host Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA)

With the triumph, Bishop Ireton improves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Madeira (McLean, VA) to face the Snails in a League of Independent Schools A contest on Thursday, April 16. The Snails enter the contest with a record of 1-2. Madeira lost 20-3 in their recent non-league contest against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA)

The Knights now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic contest on Friday, April 17. Bishop O'Connell will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-2.
