The Indians now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington Township for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 17. Portage will clash with a Senators team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN). The Senators record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Merrillville drops to 0-6 on the year. The Pirates travel to Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN) to clash with the Kougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 18.
