The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) and the host Portage Indians (Portage, IN), saw Chesterton's baseball team gain a win over Portage by a tally of 4-1.

The Trojans (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Highland (Highland, IN). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 11-11 record. In their last battle, Highland held off Hebron (Hebron, IN), 5-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Indians face the Illiana Christian Vikings (Dyer, IN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 15. Portage will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 17-3 record after their 10-3 league win over Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN).
