California High School Baseball - Sierra defeats Torres

April 16, 2025: Madera, CA 93638

The Sierra Chieftains baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Torres Toros to 7 in the Chieftains non-league win on Wednesday.

The Chieftains now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Yosemite for a Northwest Sequoia test on Tuesday, April 22. Sierra will clash with a Badgers team coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Selma (Selma, CA). The Badgers record now stands at 8-8.

With the defeat, Torres drops to 7-13 on the year. The Toros travel to Sunnyside (Fresno, CA) to clash with the Wildcats in a North Yosemite test on Wednesday, April 23. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 6-12. Sunnyside lost 18-2 in their recent non-league test against Sierra Pacific (Hanford, CA)
