Maine High School Softball - Fryeburg bounces Gray-New Gloucester
April 17, 2024: Gray, ME 04039 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME) and the host Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), witnessed Fryeburg's softball squad tip Gray-New Gloucester by a count of 22-16.
The Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Wells for a Class B South match on Friday, April 19. Fryeburg will face a Warriors squad coming off a 11-4 league win over Greely (Cumberland Center, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Gray-New Gloucester moves to 0-1 on the season. The Patriots host Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME) to face the Hawks in a non-league match on Monday, April 22. The Hawks go into the match with a record of 0-1. Sacopee Valley lost 20-11 in their recent non-league match against Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME)
