The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) and the visiting Marshall Barristers (Los Angeles, CA), saw Sylmar's baseball team gain a win over Marshall by a tally of 10-5.

The Spartans (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA). The Dons enter the Valley Mission battle with a 8-12 record. In their last battle, Verdugo Hills held off Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Barristers face the Hamilton Yankees (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 19. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Yankees enter the battle with a 9-7 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Chavez (San Fernando, CA).
