In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Sherman Tide baseball team scored a close 7-6 win over the Scott Skyhawks.

The Tide (12-4) will now prepare for their game against St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV). The Irish go into the non-league game with a 18-1 record. In their last game, St. Joseph Central nudged Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV), 10-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Skyhawks play the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 20. Scott will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Bison go into the game with a 13-4 record after their 17-2 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV).
