The Lee County Yellow Jackets routed the host Pinecrest Patriots softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Yellow Jackets (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the Sandhills 3A/4A battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Richmond was routed by Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 13-2, in a league battle.
The Patriots now sport a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Scotland for a Sandhills 3A/4A battle on Friday, April 21. Pinecrest will meet a Fighting Scots squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 11-3.
