Ohio High School Softball - Frontier bounces Shadyside
April 18, 2026: New Matamoras, OH 45767 The Frontier Cougars softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Shadyside Tigers to 5 in the Cougars non-league win on Saturday.
The Cougars now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Frye for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 21. Frontier will confront a Cadets team coming off a 13-5 non-league win over Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Cadets record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Shadyside moves to 8-7 on the season. The Tigers host Caldwell (Caldwell, OH) to confront the Redskins in a Ohio Valley Athletic AA battle on Monday, April 20. The Redskins come into the battle with a record of 10-2. Caldwell won 4-1 in their recent non-league battle against Marietta (Marietta, OH)
