Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting River Pilots (Hannibal, OH), 7-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Frontier upgrades its record to 3-5 on the year. The Cougars host Ontario (Ontario, OH) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, April 4. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 4-2. Ontario won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Clear Fork (Bellville, OH)

The Pilots (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Redskins enter the Ohio Valley Athletic AA challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Caldwell edged Warren (Vincent, OH), 4-0, in a non-league challenge.
