Ohio High School Softball - Frontier bounces Valley

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Frontier Cougars softball team scored a nice 20-5 victory over the Valley Lumberjacks.

The Cougars (10-13) will now prepare for their match against Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH). The Seminoles go into the non-league match with a 17-5 record. In their last match, Monroe Central was routed by Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH), 12-8, in a league match.

In their next game, the Lumberjacks battle the Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 4. Valley will attempt to better on its 7-17 season record. The Blue Eagles go into the match with a 7-9 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV).
