With the win, Weslaco East upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Wildcats host Lopez (Brownsville, TX) to encounter the Lobos in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 16-8. Lopez lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Mercedes (Mercedes, TX)

With the defeat, Donna falls to 7-16 on the season. The Redskins travel to Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 23.
