In Friday's league challenge, the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a final score of 9-2.

With the win, Holmes upgrades its record to 8-12 on the season. The Aces host Camden County (Camden, NC) to encounter the Bruins in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Camden County won 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC)

With the defeat, First Flight falls to 12-4 on the season.
