New York High School Softball - Homer holds off Hannibal
April 20, 2023: Homer, NY 13077 Homer Trojans (Homer, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hannibal Warriors (Hannibal, NY), 6-4 in a league challenge.
The Trojans now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Cazenovia for a Section 3 Liberty challenge on Saturday, April 22. Homer will face a Lakers squad coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Oswego (Oswego, NY). The Lakers record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Hannibal falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Mexico (Mexico, NY) to face the Tigers in a Section 3 Liberty challenge on Monday, April 24. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Mexico lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Pulaski (Pulaski, NY)
