North Carolina High School Softball - Alexander Central can't get by South Caldwell
April 21, 2023: Taylorsville, NC 28681 In Friday's league contest, the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) softball team held off the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, South Caldwell moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to play the Huskies in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, April 25. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 10-4.
In their next game, the Cougars play the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, April 25. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 7-13 record after their 6-0 league win over Watauga (Boone, NC).
