The Nichols Vikings baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Amherst Central Tigers to 1 in the Vikings non-league win on Tuesday.

The Vikings now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Francis for a Monsignor Martin test on Wednesday, April 23. Nichols will clash with a Red Raiders team coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Amherst Central drops to 1-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to Hamburg (Hamburg, NY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a ECIC II test on Wednesday, April 23.
