The Newcomb Skyhawks softball squad (Newcomb, NM), was routed 22-12 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM)

With the triumph, Wingate improves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Bears travel to McCurdy (Espanola, NM) to face the Bobcats in a non-league contest on Monday, April 28.
