May 1, 2025: Thoreau, NM 87323 Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), 16-4 in a league game.
With the triumph, Wingate upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Bears travel to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM) to play the Hawks in a 3A District 1 game on Thursday, May 1. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 8-15. Thoreau lost 17-2 in their recent league match against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM)
In their next game, the Hawks confront the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) in a 3A District 1 match, on Thursday, May 1. Thoreau will attempt to better on its 9-16 season record. The Bears come into the match with a 10-6 record after their 12-11 league loss to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).
