The South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) softball nipped the visiting Twin Lakes Indians (Monticello, IN), 9-8 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Rebels now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North White for a Midwest outing on Friday, April 25. South Newton will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 13-3 league loss to Tri-County (Wolcott, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 3-5.
