North Carolina High School Softball - Highland Tech knocked off by Burns

In Thursday's league test, the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), by a tally of 12-2.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A test, on Tuesday, April 28. Burns will attempt to advance on its 11-8 season record. The Golden Lions go into the test with a 5-11 record after their 18-1 league loss to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC).

The Rams (10-7) will now prepare for their test against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, East Gaston was routed by West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 11-0, in a league test.
